June Classes at the Co-op!!!

Melissa Salierno, is a Certified Family, Consulting and Master Herbalist has been studying natural healing for 18 years. She currently teaches Herbalism courses at Trinidad Jr. State College and is a private consultant for those seeking a safer, more natural approach to healing. Melissa owned a holistic pet supply store in Estes Park where she emphasized nutrition, herbs, flower essences and other natural approaches to animal health.

An Introduction to Herbal Medicine

Saturday June 11th

9:30am-12:00pm

This class will expound on the philosophical, scientific and creative uses of medicinal herbs. It will This class is to introduce the student to the medical efficacy of plant medicine and empower the individual to make their own choices in healthcare. Some scientific data will be presented to help the student understand the difference between prescription drugs and natural plant medicine. The scientific validation of herbal medicine will be presented so that the student understands that herbs, properly used, are a true and well-documented medical modality.

25 Common Herbs and Their Medicinal Actions

Saturday June 25

9:30am-12:00pm

Cost $15

We will identify and discuss 25 medicinal herbs and the correct terminology of their medical actions. The student will become familiar with some of the medicinal properties inherent in specific herbs and how those properties can benefit their health. When seeking out herbs to address a specific health condition, the student will understand what properties to look for in order to determine which herb(s) to use.
