Farm Fresh Eggs

Why Buy?

For anyone who has ever eaten a farm fresh egg, the difference between the look and taste of it and a commercial store bought egg is obvious. The shell is harder and the yolk is brighter and tougher; when cooked, the white is light and fluffy. Though most people assume farm fresh eggs are better nutritionally, most people don’t know how much. Not only are they free of antibiotics and pesticides; but, according to Mother Earth News, farm fresh eggs from hens raised in a pasture may contain:

· 4-6 times as much vitamin D

· 1/3 less cholesterol

· 1/4 less saturated fat

· 2/3 more vitamin A

· 2 times more Omega 3 fatty acids

· 3 times more vitamin E

· 7 times more beta carotene
